This is the type of fitting used from 1946-1983 on all British motorcycles.

Rigid type. Fits every Burman gearbox 1938 onwards (and probably a lot of earlier ones too). Can also be used as a gear lever on some bikes. Diameter between splines16,9 mm.
Chrome plated; excellent quality. (These do NOT bend on the second kick) Rubber and chrome plated bolt included.
Ariel, AJS, Matchless, Panther, Vincent Comet/

Ignition coil 6Volts diameter 40mm. Excellent replacement for the Lucas coil as used on most 60's bikes. Made by PVL in Germany.

Can be folded away if need be. Chrome plated.

This replaces the early cast in bearing type. 1938-1956 500 and 650cc twins. As shells you can use those for the 3TA/5TA  part number 70-3706

Fit it to the camshaft or crank, put the piston in top dead centre, mark this point with a felt tip or a wire, put the bike  in gear, turn the rear wheel backwards, then forwards and you'll notice the position of the crank on this gorgeous plastic dial!
If fitted to the camshaft divide by 2.
